In March 2021, Lisa Bishop and Michael Feeley of FOHB met with Claus Kruesken, a radio journalist from Germany working for public radio bayern2.de in Munich. Claus wanted to learn about the resurgence of Hanauma Bay during its COVID closure for nine months in 2020, and what visitors can do to help maintain that resurgence as Hawaii and Hanauma Bay reopen to tourism.
