Aloha Dave Gulko – and A Hui Hou!

After 25 years of service to the State of Hawaii, Dave Gulko has accepted the position as Senior Manager for Marine Habitat Conservation and Restoration with NEOM in Saudi Arabia. Dave’s invitation to join this extraordinary, handpicked cadre of multi-disciplinary international experts is an unprecedented opportunity for him to collaborate in an extremely supportive work environment that focuses on success, rewards initiative, and provides funding for both.

Dave shares a letter with friends and colleagues outlining his new and exciting challenges here. While DLNR has lost its only coral biologist, we wish Dave all the best in this new venture and look forward to hearing about his progress at NEOM over the next few years. Dave, mahalo nui loa for being such a champion for Hawaii’s reef ecosystems, and such a friend of Hanauma Bay.

A Hui Hou!
