Hanauma Bay Clean-Up on Saturday September 21st, 2013

Aloha All:

Our next clean-up will be on Saturday, September 21st from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Bay. This clean-up coincides with the annual International Coastal Clean-Up, a.k.a. Get the Drift and Bag It! Volunteers will record the type and amount of trash collected during the clean-up, and results will be submitted to the Ocean Conservancy for inclusion in their annual report. As usual, we will supply bags, gloves and cold drinks – just need you to supply the people power. 

Be prepared to pay the $1 parking fee when you arrive, but keep the receipt as we will validate them for reimbursement at the volunteer check-in table. Important change: the volunteer check-in table will now be located on the grass to the left of the previous location (now behind the concession stand). For residents who plan to use the beach afterwards, please remember to bring proof of residency to avoid admission fees.

No RSVP necessary unless you plan to bring a group with more than 10 volunteers – please let us know ahead so we can prepare a separate sign in sheet for your group as this will speed up the sign in process. Please let us know if you have any other questions about the event.
